1 Before starting work, we will agree the specific freelance services to be performed and the fees payable. Once I have received an email confirming the acceptance of the terms, work will begin.
2 I shall use all reasonable endeavours to complete the work within the time frame agreed. Should the scope of the work grow, or if it takes longer than estimated, I will contact you before running over time, so we agreed to any increase in costs before I complete the work.
3 Work will be charged out at an hourly rate of £25, or at an agreed set fee for each project.
4 All work will be invoiced at agreed payment milestones and the next stage won’t begin until payment is received.
5 The parties may agree to amend and execute a new copywriting proposal at any stage. Alterations to payment terms and the scope of the work will be agreed in writing by both parties.
6 When you commission me to write copy or amend existing copy for you as a freelance copywriter, you are purchasing the copyright to the work, which is assigned to you upon receipt by me, of full and final payment. If I am not paid, I reserved the right to refuse the use of text I have written for any purpose.
7 If you have appointed me to write your website and decide not to make final copy revisions immediately, I reserve the right to charge for the project in full as soon as I have submitted the latest draft.
8 If you do not make use of any work that I produce for you in accordance with the proposal and estimate, you agree to pay for the work that was agreed at the outset of the project.
9 In the event of cancellation or unlawful termination of this agreement by you, after its inception, I will submit a final invoice for immediate payment for the work completed to date.
10 If you upload or use any copy that I have written before I have invoiced for the final copy, I reserve the right to invoice you for the agreed amount outstanding, even if you require revisions (as agreed within the proposal and terms at the outset) to be made.
